ENDOMETRIO (subtitled: Decomposizione Per Suoni Sintetici E Rumori Generati Elettronicamente).
First ever cassette reissue of the classic LP by Italian experimental/noise composer Maurizio Bianchi. Originally released in an extremely limited private press vinyl LP edition in Italy (1982), "Endometrio" showcased M.B. at his most crucial turning point. M.B. titled this work as "bionic music", blending unfiltered electronics with contorted sounds of the human body to compose one of the most organically beautiful ambient records to date. Endometrio is an important addition to any experimental and avant-garde audio library.
The artwork is with original photos and text, in addition new liners and artwork from Maurizio Bianchi.
This reissue is published by Backwards with Maurizio Bianchi permission and authorization.
"Endometrio" represents the first example of "Bionic Music", that is, of sounds obtained synthetically by the manipulation and transformation of pre-recorded electronic sources. In opposition to music for the synthesizer and to music obtained with the use of the computer, in Bionic Music (from "bios" and "electronic") the concept of continuous speech is largely eliminated, and the structure, the agglomeration of sounds, the successive waves of repulsing micro-organisms grouped in short sections, each as if locked within the temporal limits of its own breathing, the violent discharges of sounds subject to the most minute internal dynamic changes, the desired "dissociation" organized in the syntactic links, the reduction to pure phonic-orgasmic matter, in short, the planning of the negative.
